Windshield Wiper Blades, Adjusting Park Position

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Deactivate APP function, refer to => [ Wiper Motor Alternating Park Position Function, Deactivating ] See: Wiper Motor/Testing and Inspection.

Actuate wiper motor into the end position and then switch off ignition. 

-

Now set the park positions of the windshield wiper blades.

Driver Side:

The gap dimension - A - between the center of the wiper blade and lower edge of the windshield must be 39 mm.

If necessary, set park position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.

Wiper arms, removing, refer to => [ Wiper Arms ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Wiper Arms.

Tighten the bolt to the specification shown in => [ Specifications ] See: Specifications/Specifications.

Passenger Side:

The distance - B - between the wiper blade and the upper edge of the plenum chamber cover must be 14 mm.
