Headlight Beam Adjusting Motor For Headlights With High Intensity Discharge (HID) Lamps Removing And Installing 

NOTE:

-

Removal and replacement is only possible with headlight housing removed from vehicle.

-

After removal and installation of adjusting motor, headlight basic setting must always be reestablished using optical headlight aimer VAS
5107. The headlight inclination specification is embossed into the headlight housing. 

Removing

-

Remove headlight assembly.

-

Remove three mounting screws -arrows- and remove large cover cap -1-.

-

Disconnect electrical connector -1- at headlight beam adjusting motor.

-

Remove mounting screws -arrow-.

-

Remove positioner linkage ball from guide socket in headlight housing by lifting reflector base plate slightly.

Installing
