Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Straps (T10038)

‹› Locating fixtures (T10096)

‹› Engine/transmission jack (V.A.G 1383 A) with universal transmission support (V.A.G 1359/2)

Subframe with Components, Removing

‹› Be aware that if there is additional work where the drive axle hex head bolt must be loosened, this must also occur with the vehicle resting on the 

wheels. Loosening drive axle hex head bolt. Refer to => [ Drive Axle Hex Bolt Connection, Loosening and Tightening ] See: Steering and

Remove wheels.

Remove coil spring. Refer to => [ Coil Spring ]. See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear
Suspension/All Wheel Drive (AWD)/Removal and Installation/Coil Spring

Remove exhaust system rear muffler.

-

Disconnect electrical connections between subframe and body.

-

Remove bolt - arrow -.

-

Disconnect brake lines, items - 1 - and -  2 -.
