- 1. - Press cover up and under cylinder head cover seal. - 2. - Then press cover against cylinder head and onto alignment pins.

Ensure cylinder head cover seal - arrows - is seated correctly. It must not be pushed back.

First install all mounting bolts - arrows - and tighten lightly. 

Note:

Bolts - A - are not on vehicles with mechanical vacuum pump.

Then tighten all securing bolts.

-

Then tighten three cylinder head cover securing bolts - arrows - to torque.

-

Install vacuum pump, if present.
