Wiring diagram
Test requirements
-
Fuses on E-box in engine compartment, left side, must be OK
NOTE: Fuses on this fuse holder are labelled "SB" in the wiring diagram.
-
Battery voltage must be at least 11.5 Volts.
-
All electrical consumers such as, for example, lights and rear window defroster must be switched off.
-
Ground (GND) connections to transmission must be OK.
-
Selector lever must be in -P- position.
-
Ignition switched off.
Test sequence
Observe safety precautions.
Observe rules for cleanliness.
-
Disconnect 8-pin connector -1- on transmission.
-
Check harness connector for contact corrosion and ingress of water.
If harness connector is not OK:
-
Repair the malfunction.
-
Erase DTC memory of Transmission Control Module (TCM), Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data.
-
Generate readiness code.
If harness connector is OK:
-
Check resistance of Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-.
Check sensor resistance
-
Check resistance of Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93- between terminals 1 and 2 at connector to sensor:
ATF temperature
Specified value
-30 degrees C
approx. 37.0 to 51.0 kohms
10 degrees C
approx. 5.0 to 8.0 kohms
25 degrees C
approx. 3.0 to 5.0 kohms
110 degrees C
approx. 230.0 to 265.0 ohms
145 degrees C
approx. 100.0 to 120.0 ohms
If one of the specified values is not obtained:
-
Replace Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-
-
Erase DTC memory of Transmission Control Module (TCM), Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data.
-
Generate readiness code.
If specified values are obtained:
