Technical Background
Whining noise from engine between 1100 and 1500 RPM (vibration may also be felt in passenger-side floorboard area).
This noise may be caused by the oil cooler mounting.Vibration from oil cooler/filter flange (which is bolted to the vehicle chassis) could be transmitted
to the body.
Production Solution
New isolators are installed beginning with Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): 3B_E388529 and VIN 3B_P353571.See Required Parts and Tools
Service
For vehicles produced prior to listed VINs:

Identify three (3) bonded rubber isolators -4- on oil cooler flange.
Isolator, identifying

"Old" bonded rubber isolator has metal casing 2/3 the length of the rubber between the studs.

"New" bonded rubber isolator is solid rubber between the studs and has no metal casing.
If old bonded rubber isolators are installed:

Replace three (3) isolators with new bonded rubber isolators.
