Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
Crankshaft oil seal -vibration damper end-, replacing
Special tools and equipment

VW681 Extractor lever
^
T10069 Counter-holder
^
T10124 Fitting sleeve
^
VAG 1332 Torque wrench (40...200 Nm)
^
VAG 1601 Torque wrench (150...800 Nm)
Removing
^
Remove ribbed belt.
^
Remove toothed belt.
^
Pry out seal using extractor lever VW 681.
Note: Ensure the sealing surface is not damaged when prying out the seal.
