After replacing airbag units or airbag control module, labels (only tear-off strips) of new components must be attached to "registration card 2 for airbag
systems". "Send registration card 2 for airbag systems" to appropriate business or to importer.
"Registration card 2 for airbag systems" can be printed from "Technical Service Handbook".

In "Technical Service Handbook 2" "Procedure ID" or "TPL number" for this procedure is: "2000987".
Always replace the following components after an accident when airbag has deployed:

All deployed airbag units with control modules and sensors.

Support for passenger module where passenger airbag deployed.

Return ring with slip ring, if drivers side airbag deployed.

All seatbelts with belt tensioners that have been triggered.

If necessary (visual check) also replace the following: all damaged components.
Accident where airbag did not deploy

If airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) - K75 - does not indicate a DTC, airbag components do not need to be replaced. Check seatbelts
separately.
