Camshaft Oil Seal: Service and Repair

2085 Oil seal extractor

-

3240 Oil seal extractor

-

3241 Fitting sleeves

-

VAG 1331 Torque wrench (550 Nm)

-

VAG 1332 Torque wrench (40-200 Nm)

Removing oil seal on camshaft sprocket 
-

Remove toothed belts.

-

Remove camshaft sprockets.

-

Unscrew inner part of oil seal extractor 3240 two turns (approximately 3 mm) out of outer part and lock in position with knurled screw.
