Evaporator Drain Tube: Testing and Inspection

Evaporator Water Drain Valve, Checking

Check valve as follows:

-

Remove securing nuts -arrows- on right catalytic converter heat shield -1-.

-

Remove catalytic converter heat shield.

Check valve as follows to ensure proper function:

-

The valve must not be stuck together.

-

The opening in the sealing cap of the valve must point downwards.

-

The right catalytic converter heat shield plate must not be deformed or damaged in the area of the valve.

-

Remove valve -1- from bulkhead -2-.

-

The valve sealing lip -1- must cover the water drain guide outlet completely.
