Remove ATF inspection plug from oil pan (arrow).

ATF drips out of drilling: 

ATF level -arrow- is OK.
Only a small amount of ATF should come out of the inspection hole when the engine is running.

Fit new O-ring on ATF inspection plug and tighten to 80 Nm. The ATF check is now completed.

Switch off engine.

If no ATF comes out of the inspection hole: Top up ATF as described below.

 
 
ATF, Topping Up 

With engine running.

Guide V.A.G 1924 in through an opening -arrow- in the deflector cap, taking care not to push the deflector cap upward out of position.

-

Fill with ATF using V.A.G 1924 -arrow- until ATF comes out of inspection hole.
