Fluid - Transfer Case: Testing and Inspection
Gear oil in transfer gearbox
Gear oil level in transfer gearbox, checking

Separate right-hand exhaust pipe from rear exhaust system at double clamp. Push front exhaust pipe in area of Three Way Catalytic Converter
(TWC) to right. Refer to Exhaust System.

Remove filler plug (arrow -B-) to check gear oil level and top off to lower edge of hole with gear oil.

Gear oil specification.
^
Always replace filler plug

Install new filler plug.
Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)
