Component Notes And Information

NOTE:

During removal and installation procedures, refer to the component location illustration above and component notes below.

Separate connector for brake pad wear indicator.

When removing self locking bolts (14), counter hold guide bolts (17) using a suitable wrench

^

To prevent brake fluid spillage draw the brake fluid from the reservoir using a bleeder bottle that is used ONLY for brake fluid.

WARNING:

Brake fluid is poisonous and must NEVER be removed by siphoning with your mouth. 

CAUTION:

^

After servicing caliper, depress brake pedal firmly several times to seat the pads in their normal operating position.

Brake disc, non ventilated

When worn always replace on both sides of vehicle

Diameter: 256 mm

-

Thickness: 13 mm

-

Wear limit: 11 mm

Brake disc, Ventilated
-

When worn always replace on both sides of vehicle

-

Remove brake caliper before removing

-

Diameter: 256 mm (10.08 in.)

-

Thickness: 20 mm (0.787 in.)

-

Wear limit: 18 mm (0.709 in.)

To secure wheel speed sensor rotor

Brake pads

With pad wear indicator

-

Always replace both sides

Thickness:

Non ventilated disc: 14 mm
Ventilated disc: 11 mm

Wear limit:

Non ventilated disc: 7 mm including backing plate
Ventilated disc: 7 mm  including backing plate
