EGR Valve: Testing and Inspection

1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and allow to idle.
2. Ensure line from EGR valve to exhaust pipe does not leak.
3. Disconnect vacuum line from EGR valve and distributor vacuum retard.
4. Connect vacuum line from distributor to EGR valve. Idle speed should drop. if not EGR valve or line is dirty, blocked or damaged.
