Seat Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

Refer to image and legend below for disassembly and assembly information.

1 - Mounting bracket
2 - Hex nut

-

23 Nm (17 ft lb)

3 - Hex bolt

-

Torque to: 23 Nm (17 ft lb) 

-

Mounting bolt for shock absorber

4 - Hex bolt

-

Torque to: 40 Nm (30 ft lb) 

5 - Belt retractor

Removing on Sedan: 

-

Remove belt guide and belt cover first.

-

Remove bolt, working from boot.

Removing on Wagon: 

-

First remove belt guide, belt cover and trim for luggage area, remove front luggage area trim in rear area and pull off from wheel housing.

Installing: Install belt retractor with pins in mounting bracket.
