Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

STEERING COLUMN INGNITON SWITCH REPLACING

Removal

1 -

Driver air bag 
- See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag

2 -

Hex nut 
- 40 Nm (29 ft lb)

Steering wheel with coil spring for air bag

Steering column switch securing screws

5 -

Switch for turn signals, cruise control system, high and low beam head light, flasher and emergency light switch 
- See Figure 2 below.

Switch for windshield wiper and wipe/wash operation 
- See Figure 2 below.

Steering column lock housing securing bolt 
- 10 Nm (7 ft lb)

Ignition/starter switch. 
- Remove steering lock housing.
