Oil Filter: Removal and Replacement

Oil Filter Bracket

Removing

-

Remove the intake manifold. Refer to => [ Intake Manifold ] See: Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Intake Manifold.

-

Disconnect the coolant pipes. Refer to => [ Coolant Pipes ] See: Cooling System/Coolant Line/Hose/Service and Repair.

-

Remove the oil cooler bolts - A and B - and cooler.

-

Disconnect the connector - A - from the oil pressure switch and remove the ground wire bolt - B -.

-

Remove the oil filter bracket bolts - arrows - and remove the oil filter bracket.

Installing

-

Replace the gaskets - items 7 and 14  - in => [ Oil Filter Bracket Overview ] See: Service and Repair/Lubrication System Overview.

-

Install the oil baffle - item 13 -=> [ Oil Baffle ] See: Service and Repair/Lubrication System Overview.

-

Install the oil filter bracket and tighten the bolts uniformly to 15 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

-

Install oil cooler with bracket for coolant pipes.

The rest of the installation is basically a reverse of the removal sequence.
