Selector Shaft Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Thrust piece T10174

-

Remove Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) Switch F125.

-

Carefully pry out shift rod gasket using screwdriver. Do not damage shift rod while doing so.

-

Drive in new gasket until stop using thrust piece T10174 - -, do not cant while doing so.

-

Adjust Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) Switch F125.

Thrust piece T10176

Flange Shaft Seal, Removing

(Transmission in vehicle)

Only left side is described here. Replacing oil seal for right side is almost the same.

On the right, drive axle remains in wheel bearing, use the thrust piece T10177, on the left side, remove drive axle and use the thrust piece T10176.

-

Remove noise insulation.

-

Place drip tray V.A.G. 1306 underneath.
