Front caliper piston, removing and installing

3409 Wedge

Piston resetting tool

Removing

^

Force piston out of brake caliper housing using compressed air.

Note:  Place a wooden board into the recess of the caliper housing to prevent damaging the piston.

Remove seal using 3409 wedge.

Note:  When removing make sure that the surface of the cylinder is not damaged.

Installing

Use only appropriate solvent to clean surfaces of the piston and seal, then dried.

^

Apply a thinly coat of paste G 052 150 A2 to piston and seal before installing.

^

Install oil seal in brake caliper housing.
