Headlight Beam Adjusting Motor For Headlights W/O Hid Lamps

Headlight Beam Adjusting Motor, Removing And Installing

NOTE:

-

Removal and replacement is only possible with headlight housing removed from vehicle.

-

After removal and installation of adjusting motor, headlight basic setting must always be reestablished using optical headlight aimer VAS 5107.
The headlight inclination specification is embossed into the headlight housing.

Removing

-

Remove headlight assembly.

-

Remove large cover cap from rear of headlight housing.

-

Disconnect electrical connector -1-.

-

Remove headlight adjusting motor -2- in left headlight by turning clockwise.

-

Remove headlight adjusting motor -2- in right headlight by turning counterclockwise.

-

Remove positioner linkage ball from guide socket in headlight housing.

Installing

-

Insert positioner linkage ball -1- into guide socket -arrow- in headlight housing by lifting the reflector base plate slightly.

-

Reinstall motor and lock into position by turning as necessary.

-

Reconnect electrical connection.

-

Reinstall cover cap.

-

Reinstall headlight assembly.

-

Check function of headlight.

-

Check headlight aim.

-

Bring headlight into basic setting
