30. Tensioning ring

Remove catalyst and front heat shield before removing and installing

Notes:  Carefully pull bellows over selector rod

Place bellows on the marks on selector rod and push rod

35. Hexagon bolt, 23 Nm

Turn cover inside out.

Carefully lever segment with a screwdriver in direction of arrow; at the same time pull the shift lever knob out.

Selector mechanism, removing and installing 
Removing

Carefully lever the cover off the center console.

Then unscrew the shift lever knob with cover.
