• ‒ Support boot lid/tailgate.
• ‒ → Lift locking clip -2- with screwdriver and pull gas-filled strut off ball-head stud -1-.

Note:

If it is intended to re-use gas-filled strut, then do not lever out locking clip -2- completely from the ball socket otherwise clip will be damaged.

•      1 -     Combi ball stud, 22 Nm
•      3 -     Retaining clip
•      2 -     Gas strut
•      4 -     Hexagon bolt, 10 Nm
•      5 -     Mounting bracket
•      6 -     Sealing washer
