Removing

Remove rear door trim and partially pull off door insulation sheeting.

=> General body repairs, interior; Repair group 70; Door trims; Removing and installing rear door trim

  • ‒ → Pull pressure pipe -1- off positioning element. Unhook pull and locking rods -2-.

Note:

Pipes must be pushed up to the coloured marking in the pipe connections.

  • ‒ Remove rear door lock with positioning element (front door lock).
  • ‒ → Turn door lock rotary latch to "locked position".
  • ‒ Remove Torx bolt (T15) -1-.
  • ‒ Release positioning element -arrows- and remove from door lock.
 
N57-0009
  • ‒ → The locking lever -1- slides out of the plunger -2- when the positioning element is removed.

Installing

When installing the locking lever -1- must locate in the plunger -2- again.

Note:

If after replacing the positioning element the door lock does not function properly, renew the door lock complete with positioning element.
