Installing > < Removing and installing front seat with side airbag 10.99 ?

  WARNING
Disconnect battery earth strap before working on electrical system.
–  Slide seat forwards.
   
–  Remove cover strip -1- backwards in -direction of arrow- from inner seat rail.

–  Use a screwdriver to push lock backwards and remove cover from seat rail in -direction of arrow-.

–  Unscrew cap nut -1- and remove bolt -2-.
–  Release detent rod and slide seat back out of guide rails.

  WARNING
Electrostatic discharges may result in unintentional triggering of airbag. Therefore, the mechanic must electrostatically discharge him/herself before disconnecting the igniter and earth wires. This can be done by briefly touching the body or striker plate of the door.
–  Raise seat in rear area and disconnect wiring harness to side airbag -1- from connector housing -2-.
–  Insert airbag adapter -VAS 5094- into connector housing -2-.
–  Separate connector for seat heating (if fitted).
