→ I = New:

The protective boot -1- for the automatic adjustment is now located behind the adjusting device -2-. The clutch cable is supported with a wire retainer -3-.

II = Previously:

The protective boot -1- for the automatic adjustment is located in front of the adjustment device -2-. The clutch cable is supported in a sheet metal retainer -3-.

Making clutch cable adjusting mechanism serviceable again (from 27.04.95).

  • ‒ A functional check of the new clutch cable is to be carried out as previously described on page 30-5 .
  • ‒ → Pull clutch cable out of fork in release lever by pulling forcefully (direction of arrow).
  • ‒ Pull rubber buffer out of support bracket on gearbox.

  • ‒ → Move braiding -A- of cable to and fro several times, until the adjusting mechanism -B- can be pressed together.
  • ‒ Tension clutch cable with retaining strap =>from page 30-18 .
  • ‒ Press rubber buffer into support bracket on gearbox.
  • ‒ Connect clutch cable to release lever.
  • ‒ After installing clutch pedal remove retaining strap.
  • ‒ Carry out functional check again.
