2 - Engine support
3 - Cylinder block
q   Removing and installing sealing flange and flywheel → Chapter.
q   Dismantling and assembling pistons and conrods → Chapter.
4 - Union, 40 Nm
q   For oil return line from turbocharger
q   Renew
5 - Spacer sleeve
6 - Rubber bush
7 - Bracket
q   For connectors from Hall sender -G40- and engine speed sender -G28-
8 - 10 Nm
9 - Seal
q   Renew
10 - Oil filter bracket
q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter.
11 - 15 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
q   Renew
q   First fit upper left and lower right bolts and then tighten all four bolts diagonally.
12 - O-ring
q   Renew
13 - 20 Nm
14 - Engine speed sender -G28-
q   Checking → Chapter
15 - Connection
q   For thermostat.
16 - 15 Nm
17 - Thermostat
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
18 - 45 Nm
q   Observe tightening sequence → Fig..
19 - Compact bracket
q   For alternator, air conditioner compressor, power steering vane pump and poly V-belt tensioning element
20 - Tensioning element
q   For poly V-belt.
21 - 25 Nm
22 - Sump
q   Clean sealing surface before fitting.
q   Install with silicone sealant -D 176 404 A2- → Chapter.
q   To remove sump, gearbox must be removed → Rep. Gr.34
23 - 15 Nm
q   To remove rear bolts to gearbox, gearbox must be removed → Rep. Gr.34
24 - Cover
q   With sealing strip
q   Clean strainer if dirty
25 - Retaining frame
q   Before installing, check that the dowel sleeves for centring oil pump on cylinder block are fitted and the O-ring is fitted in the retaining frame
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
26 - 40 Nm
27 - Protective cap
q   For drive shaft
