  • ◆ Ring spanner SW 15 mm T10024

Work sequence

Note:

Before removing the ribbed belt mark the direction of rotation. When installing the belt ensure it is correctly seated in the pulley.

  • ‒ Remove noise insulation tray.
  • ‒ Mark ribbed belt direction of rotation.

  • ‒ → Swivel tensioning roller with ring spanner T10024 in direction of arrow.
  • ‒ Remove/fit ribbed belt.

Note:

When installing the ribbed V-belt, ensure the belt runs in the right direction and seats correctly on the belt pulleys.

After completing repairs always:

  • ‒ Start engine and check belt running.

→ Ribbed belt routing

  •      1 -     Vibration damper/belt pulley
  •      2 -     Ribbed belt
  •      3 -     Tensioner
  •      4 -     Pulley - alternator
  •      5 -     Pulley - P.A.S. vane pump
  •      6 -     Pulley - coolant pump
