Checking intake housing

• ‒ Remove air cleaner intake housing.
• ‒ → Check position of regulating flap.
  above +22°C:
       Flap must close-off the warm air intake -1-
  -20 up to +22°C:
       Flap must be slightly up to max. 2/3 open
       -2-.
• ‒ By sucking on the vacuum connection (use length of hose) check the function and ease of movement of the regulating flap.

• ‒ → Spray thermo element with chilling spray. The regulating flap must open the warm air intake.

Checking temperature regulator

• ● Intake housing OK.
• ● Engine max. hand warm
• ● Vacuum hoses connected

• ‒ Start engine and run at idling speed.
       Regulating flap must be pulled open
• ‒ Pull vacuum hose off temperature regulator on the injection unit.
       Regulating flap must return to its original position after
       max. 20 seconds.
