• ‒ → Check dimension "a" on left-hand track rod and if necessary adjust.

Dimension "a" = 350.5 ± 1 mm

Dimension "a" = 360.5 ± 1 mm

Notes:

• ◆ Only adjust track on right-hand track rod.
• ◆ After adjusting total track, check wheel lock .
• ◆ Before installing new left-hand track rod check dimension "a" and if necessary adjust.

→ Bellows installation position

•      1 -     Bellows
•      2 -     Housing

When installing the bellows ensure that the lip (arrows) lies against the housing

Installing bellows

• ‒ Check bellows for wear (cuts, cracks) and ensure sealing surfaces are clean.

• ‒ → Install bellows, but first turn the track rod so that the track rod ball joint shank is in the installation position.

Note:

• ◆ Only use genuine clamp-type clips.

• ‒ Tension clamp-type clips with pliers V.A.G 1275.

→ The bellows must on no account be installed twisted (negative example).
