  Note
When replacing the trim, this is supplied by Parts and accessories, and already has a base primer coat applied, and only requires finish painting. Paint the trim according to the → Painting Manual.
   
–  Cut the adhesive applicator nozzle as indicated below:
  Note
t  Cut the nozzle until its internal diameter is 3 mm “b”.
t  Cut the nozzle diagonally until its height is 3 mm “a”.
–  Using the applicator -D 009 500 25- , apply the body primer on trim.
  Note
After primer application, the trim surfaces shall not be touched under any circumstances.

–  Apply an adhesive bead with pneumatic adhesive applicator for glued glasses -VAG 1761/1- on trim -1-under the primer coat and on lower support -6-.
  WARNING
The trim must be installed within 15 minutes; otherwise, the adhesive properties may be affected.
–  Position and install trim on lower longitudinal member, and fasten it with adhesive tape. Keep the trim in these conditions for 2 hours; then, remove the adhesive tapes.
–  Install screws -7- (1.5 Nm).
