Removal

(with engine head installed)

–	Remove command shaft → Chapter.

–	Remove hydraulic taps and place them with contact surface turned downwards. Ensure the taps are not inverted.

–	Place piston of respective cylinder in “upper neutral position”.

–	Install assembly device 2036 and adjust bearings to stud bolts height.

–	Remove valve spring with Valve lever -VW 541/1A- and Thrust piece for VW 541 / 1 A and 2037 -VW 541/5-.

Note

Valves then lean against piston head.

–	Remove stem seals with -3047A-.
