Removal
Mind the safety rules → Chapter.
Mind the cleaning rules → Chapter.
–  First, check whether a code radio equipment is installed. If so, request respective anti-theft password.
–  Disconnect battery ground cable with ignition off.
–  Fold backseat.
–  Remove fuel pump unit cover
–  Remover 4-pin connector and flange supply and return hoses.
  Note
To do so, press hose connectors keys.
  WARNING
t  Fuel, as well as fuel tubes, may become very hot (danger of burn injury)!
t  The fuel system is also under pressure! Before opening system, place a cloth over connector and carefully loosen it, to relieve pressure!
t  For all the assembly jobs in the fuel system, wear goggles and protection gloves!
   
–  Unscrew fuel pump fastener with wrench.
–  Remove fuel pump unit and fuel container opening sealing ring.
  Note
If replacement of fuel pump unit is programmed, used pump must be drained before disposal.
