| Connect pressure meter -VAS 5187- as shown. |

| Start engine and keep it running slowly. |

| Connect Diagnostic operation center -VAS 5051/- and select operational mode “Auto-diagnosis of vehicle”. Next, with address “01”, access engine electronic command unit. |

| On the display, press diagnostic funtion “ 08 - read measurement value block”. |
| –
| Using the numerical keyboard enter indication group “2” and confirm with key Q. |
| –
| Check slow running rotation on identification field 1 |
| –
| Rise rotation to 1500 rpm. |
| –
| Observe manometer pressure drop. Theoretical value 3.5 bar minimum. |
| –
| Press function “ 06 close section ”. |
| If nominal value is not reached: |
| –
| Replace tandem pump → Chapter, Tandem pump - remove and install. |
Note | After removing pressure meter, tighten threaded plug at 25 Nm. Sealing ring must be replaced. |
