Operation sequence
Operation sequence
–  Remove the engine cover.
–  Remove the lower part of the air duct hose → Chapter.
–  Disconnect the spark plug connectors with the Extractor for spark plug connectors -T 10112-.
–  Remove the spark plugs with the Spark plug wrench -3122B-.
–  Disconnect the 4-pole connector -1- from the Ignition transformer -N152--2-.

–  Remove fuse No. 25 from the fuse holder.
  Note
By removing the fuse, the voltage supply to the injection valves is interrupted.
–  Check compression with the Cylinder compression meter - gasoline/alcohol -VAG 1763- and the adapter -V.A.G 1763/6-.

Handling of the compression meter ⇒ Instruction Manual.
–  Ask a second mechanic to operate the starter.
–  Turn the starter on until the compression meter no longer indicates a pressure increase.
