General notes on injection
t  The Engine control unit -J623- is equipped with self-diagnosis. Before carrying out any repairs and for troubleshooting, the fault memory should be accessed first. Likewise, the vacuum hoses and their connections must be inspected (air infiltration)
t  Fuel hoses in the engine compartment should be fastened with spring clamps only. The use of fastening clamps or screw clamps is not allowed.
t  For smooth operation of electrical components, voltage must be at least 11.5 V.
t  Do not use silicone-based sealants. Component particles of silicone aspired by the engine are not burned and damage the Lambda Probe -G39-.
t  Vehicles equipped with airbag have fuel cutoff in the event of an impact, which is intended to reduce the danger of fire in the vehicle after an accident, by letting the Fuel pump (pre-supply pump) -G6- be turned off by the Fuel pump relay - J17-. At the same time, this device also provides better comfort in relation to engine starting behaviour. When opening the door, the Fuel pump (pre-supply pump) -G6- is activated for two seconds to pressurize the fuel system.
