WARNING | Fuel system under pressure! Before opening the system, place a cloth around the connection. Then, release pressure by carefully loosening the connection. |

| To avoid injury to people and/or the destruction of the Engine control unit -J623-, observe the following: |
| t
| Before opening the fuel system, for safety reasons, fuse 41 must be removed from the fuse holder, as the Fuel pump (pre-supply pump) -G6- can be activated by the Driver door contact switch -F2-. |
| t
| Do not disconnect or touch the ignition cables with the engine running or at starting speed. |
| t
| Injection and ignition system harnesses, as well as measuring equipment cables, may only be connected or disconnected with the ignition turned off. |
WARNING | In all assembly works, especially if carried out in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following, considering space conditions: |
| t
| All pipes/hoses of any kind (such as fuel, hydraulic system, activated charcoal filter syste, cooling and refrigerant gas system, brake fluid, vacuum) and all electric harnesses must be installed so as to faithfully restore their original positions. |
| t
| Ensure there is sufficient free space in relation to all moving or hot parts. |

| If you need to use checking and measuring devices during a test drive, please observe the following: |
| t
| The checking and measuring instruments must be always fastened to the rear seat and operated by a second mechanic from then on. |
| If checking and measuring devices were to be handled from the passenger seat, activation of the passenger airbag in case of an accident could cause injuries to the passenger. |
| t
| If the engine must be operated at starting speed, without running: |
| –
| Disconnect the 4-pole connector -arrow- from the Ignition transformer -N152-. |
