Conditions
l  Pistons may not be in upper neutral position.
l  Valves command shaft gear must be blocked by retaining rods to ensure they will not move.
–  Eliminate seal residues from head and cover with flat scraper.
–  Ensure no residues enter the head inner part.
–  Clean contact surfaces so that they are free from oils or residues.
   
–  Apply a thin and even seal layer on the clean contact surface of head cover. see reticulated part of figure.
Do not apply an excessively thick seal layer because excess may reach oil passages and damage engine.

–  Ensure all rockers are properly seated on valve stem ends -1- and fastened to respective support elements -2-.
–  Install stud bolts (-M6- x 70) on the head before installing head cover.

–  Carefully install head cover vertically on the head (do not incline) using bolts as guides -arrows-.
–  Evenly tighten new fastening bolts of head cover, in cross, from center (central part) to edges (outside).
Ensure head cover is not inclined during installation Tightening torque: 10 Nm + 90º
  Note
After installing head cover, wait for seal to dry for 30 minutes.
Proceed installation in the reverse order from removal.
