  WARNING
t  Replace self-locking nuts and screws subject to angular torque
t  Soldering and straightening operations are not permitted on the suspension supporting components or on those components in which the wheels are mounted
t  Always replace corroded or rusted screws/nuts
  Note
When replacing components with metal and rubber supports, or when screws/nuts have been removed from such components, you must lift the unloaded axle before tightening → Chapter.
   
1 - Axle body
q   The contact surfaces of the shaft end and threaded holes must be free from paint and dirt
q   Remove and install → Chapter
2 - Lower spring plate
q   check plates for damages
3 - Coil spring
q   observe the color coding
q   See: → Electronic Parts Catalogue„ETKA“
Spring correspondence through the PR number
These numbers are indicated on the vehicle ID label → Chapter
q   The spiral spring surface must not be damaged
4 - Spring seat
q   Replace if damaged
5 - Hex screws
q   30 Nm + 90°
q   Replace after each removal
6 - Shock absorber
q   Correspondence → Electronic Part Catalogue„ETKA“.
q   Remove and install → Chapter
  WARNING
Only shock absorbers of the same brand „Supplier“can be mounted in the same vehicle.
7 - Hexagonal head screw
q   Replace after each removal
8 - Hexagonal nut
q   Self-locking
q   40 Nm + 90°
q   Replace after each removal
9 - Internal hex head screw
q   8 Nm
10 - ABS speed sensor
q   Before installing the sensor, you must clean the internal surface of the hole and coat it with Grease -G 000 650-. Refer to the → Chemicals Manual.
11 - Axle end
q   Straightening operations are not permitted!
q   Recutting the thread is not permitted!
12 - Screw
q   4 Nm
13 - Brake disc
q   Remove and install → Break system; Rep. gr.46
14 - Dust protection cover
q   Replace after each removal
q   Remove and install → Chapter
A perfect seal is only achieved by using a new dust protection cover
Only then can the optimal working and high durability of the wheel bearing be guaranteed
15 - Grooved nut (dodecagonal)
q   Self-locking
q   70 Nm + 30°
q   Replace after each removal
16 - Wheel hub with roller bearing
q   The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel hub
q   Remove and install → Chapter
The wheel roller bearing and the wheel hub are installed together in a housing
This wheel roller bearing/hub set is maintenance- and clearance-free. Adjustment and repair works are not possible!
17 - Hex screws
q   30 Nm + 90°
q   Replace after each removal
18 - Disc guard
19 - Hexagonal head screw
q   Install from outside
q   Replace after each removal
20 - Metal-rubber bearing
q   Remove and install → Chapter
21 - Hexagonal nut
q   Self-locking
q   45 Nm + 90°
q   Replace after each removal
q   The axle should be lifted with the vehicle unloaded, before tightening → Chapter.
