Installation Installation is performed in reverse sequence to the removal, considering the following:   WARNING Replace self-locking nuts and screws subject to angular torque

–  If the support bushing -1- has been removed because of damages, install a new bushing.   Note t  If the steering column was replaced, the mounting bush -1- from the old column must be installed on the new column t  Tighten the fastening screw -2-. Tightening torque, see → Anchor t  Before installing the mounting bush, check for damages t  If the mounting bush is damaged, a new one must be installed –  Install the steering column on the support.

–  Install the screw -arrow- located to the right of the steering column. Tightening torque, see → Anchor.

–  Align the steering column with the support and install. The hole -arrow A- and the pin -arrow B- must align with each other.

–  Install and tighten the steering column screws -arrows- → Anchor. –  Install the universal joint on the steering box pinion. –  Install and fasten the hex screw from lower section. Tightening torque, see → Anchor.

–  Connect the connector -2- to the steering lock set. –  Install the earth strap and the switchbox cable on the cable support -1-. Tightening torque, see → Anchor.

–  Install the cable on the support and close the tabs -arrows-. –  Connect the connector -1- from the Immobilizer reading coil -D2-. –  Install the steering lock set → Electrical equipment; Rep. gr.94. –  Install the steering column covering → Body - Internal assembly works; Rep. gr.70. –  Install the switch set → Electrical equipment; Rep. gr.94. –  Install the steering wheel → Chapter.   Caution While connecting the earth strap Battery -A- for the vehicle, no one should remain inside the passenger compartment → Body - Internal assembly works; Rep. gr.69 Tightening torques

Upper steering column fastening t  Use new fastening screws	23 ± 2 Nm
