Steering system tightness - check > < Motor/pump set pressure (JTEKT / TRW) - check

–  Remove the left front wheel.
–  Remove the left front wheel case cover → Body - External assembly works; Rep. gr.66.
–  Check the hydraulic fluid level and replenish, if necessary → Chapter.
–  Lift the vehicle until the wheels turn freely.
–  Turn the steering wheel from stop to stop 10 times, with the engine stopped.
–  Check the hydraulic fluid level and replenish, if necessary → Chapter.
–  Loosen the hydraulic oil reservoir lid. Do not tighten!
–  Start the engine and run for 10 seconds.
–  Stop the engine.
–  Check the hydraulic oil level and replenish, if necessary → Chapter.
–  Loosen the hydraulic oil reservoir lid. Do not tighten!
Repeat the following work sequence until the oil level no longer lowers.
–  Run the engine.
–  Turn the steering wheel 10 times from stop to stop.
–  Stop the engine.
–  Check the hydraulic fluid level and replenish, if necessary → Chapter.
–  After the bleeding procedure is concluded, tighten the motor/pump set reservoir lid manually.
  Note
Any residues in the steering system will escape automatically, after driving for approximately 10 to 20 km.
