Power steering box - remove and install|Installation > < Notes related to installation works in the power steering box
Removal
Removal
–  Disconnect the Battery -A- → Electrical devices; Rep. gr.27.
–  Raise the vehicle → Booklet22.1 up to working height.
–  Remove the front wheel.
   
–  Loosen the hexagonal nut -1- at the steering terminal.
  WARNING
To protect the thread, leave the nut screwed a few turns at the steering terminal.
–  Separate the steering terminal -2- from the wheel roller bearing case using the Puller -3287 A-.

–  Mark the installation position for the screws -arrows- from the the swivel guide -1- on the wishbone -2-.

–  Remove the fastening screws -arrows-.
–  Remove the suspension column with the swivel guide, moving it away from the wishbone.

–  Pull the suspension column out and support it using a wood block -1- (for example).

–  Remove the cover -2- by removing the plastic nuts-1-.

–  Remove the fastening screw -arrow- from the universal joints -1- and decouple the universal joint -towards the arrow-.

–  Loosen the flexible tube from the transmitting cylinder reservoir and remove it by using the Clamps (diameter 1.57 in) -3093-

–  Release the flexible tube from the pump by removing the Clamps (diameter 25 mm) -3094-

–  Remove the hexagonal nuts -1- from both sides of the coupling rod -3-.
–  Remove the coupling rod -3- from the anti-roll bar -2-.

–  Remove the connection screw -1- for the steering box pressure duct.
–  Remove the connection screw -2- for the steering box return duct.
–  Seal the ducts with a plastic bag and adhesive tape.
–  Seal power steering box threaded holes with plastic sealing plugs.

–  Remove the fastening screws -1- for the steering box from the auxiliary frame and fasten it to the body (using wire, for example).
–  Console of the auxiliary frame (sub-frame) → Chapter.
–  Remove the power steering box.
