  WARNING
Risk of injuries! Pay attention to the warning notes and security norms → Chapter.
General information on the inspection window (magic eye):
Valid for all batteries with the index „1J0“, „5Z0“, „5U0“, „000“.
The inspection window (magic eye) supplies information on the charge and the level of electrolyte in the Battery -A-.
–  Before carrying out a visual check, lightly and carefully tap the inspection window with a screwdriver handle.
By doing this, any air bubbles that may distort are reading will be eliminated and the color code of the window will be more accurate.
  Note
t  Especially when a Battery -A- is recharged, that is, even when the Battery -A- is charged during driving, air bubbles can form under the inspection window. These bubbles change the color indication in the inspection viewing glass.
t  Since the inspection window is located on a single Battery -A-cell, the code refers only to this cell. An exact evaluation of the condition of the battery is only possible when a charge test is carried out on the battery -A- → Chapter.
t  The inspection window may be located in different positions on the Battery -A-.
There are three different color codes:
t  »Green« the Battery -A- is sufficiently charged.
t  »Black« the battery -A- is partly charged, charge condition < 65% or flat; the battery -A- needs charging.
t  »Colorless or yellow« the electrolyte level is too low; the Battery -A- needs replacing.
