Note| t | If the adapter has not been removed, the middle section of the roof edge spoiler latches onto the adapter on the rear lid. |
| t | If the adapter has been removed → Chapter, renew the adapter and carry out the following work steps: |
| – | Engage adapter in middle piece of roof edge spoiler -arrow A-. |
| – | Clean adapter with cleaning solution -D 009 401 04-. |
| – | Then apply glass/paint primer -D 009 200 02- to adhesive surfaces -1- on adapter and allow to dry. |
| – | Stick double-sided adhesive tape to primed areas -1-. |
| – | Apply 1-component glass adhesive -DH 009 100 A2- on adapter -2-. |
Note| t | Only the left side is shown. The right side is similar. |
| t | Ensure chafe protection -3- is fitted before installing middle piece of roof edge spoiler. |
| – | Position middle piece of roof edge spoiler -1- on rear lid and lock it into both side pieces of roof edge spoiler -2--arrow A-. |
| – | Centralize middle piece of roof edge spoiler. |
| – | Pull protective backing off double-sided adhesive tape. |
| – | Press on roof edge spoiler -arrow B-. |
