Installing
Installing
   
–  Hook locating spring -1- into push rod -2- with special tool 3438.
–  Insert wedge -3- at same time.
Installation position:
Raised portion -arrow- must remain visible when installing.
–  Insert brake shoe with brake lever in push rod.

–  Connect return spring -3- with special tool 3438.
–  Attach spring -1- for wedge -2-.
–  Guide brake shoe in between wheel hub and brake carrier.
–  Fit brake shoes onto wheel cylinder pistons.
–  Attach handbrake cable to brake lever.
–  Fit lower return spring and lift brake shoes behind lower support.
–  Fit spring and spring plate.
–  Install brake drum.
–  Fit wheels.
Specified torque of wheel bolts → Running gear, axles, steering; Rep. gr.44.
–  Firmly depress brake pedal once.
–  Adjust handbrake → Chapter.
