t  Only the components marked with an * can be renewed without opening and evacuating the refrigerant circuit.
t  A notice on the lock carrier plate in the engine compartment provides information concerning the refrigerant used and the capacity.
   
1 - Climatic* heating regulation and air-conditioning system
q   With built-in air conditioning system switch -E30-
q   With fresh air blower switch -E9-
q   With fresh air and air recirculation flap switch -E159-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter

q   Removing and installing → Rep. gr.70
4 - Gasket between heat exchanger and plenum chamber bulkhead
q   Note installation position → Fig..
5 - Evaporator output temperature sender -G263-*
  Note
There are two different types of evaporator output temperature sender -G263-. The removal and installation is identical for both types.
q   Checking: use vehicle diagnosis tester in „Guided fault finding“.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
6 - Centre vent temperature sender -G191-*
q   Checking: use vehicle diagnosis tester in „Guided fault finding“.
q   Function: controls the air distribution of defroster function/ footwell and the fresh air blower speed dependent upon the vent temperature.
q   Emergency running in event of failure: continued operation assuming coolant temperature of +80 °C.
q   With seal.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
7 - Footwell vent, right*
q   Removing → Chapter
8 - Footwell vent temperature sender -G192-*
q   Checking: use vehicle diagnosis tester in „Guided fault finding“.
