Removing and installing ancillary bracket
Removing and installing ancillary bracket
Removing
–  Remove high-pressure pump → Chapter.
   
–  Remove the generator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
Vehicles with air conditioner
  WARNING
The air conditioner refrigerant circuit must not be opened.
–  Unbolt AC compressor from ancillary bracket, then secure to lock carrier → Rep. gr.87 Klimaanlage.
All other vehicles continued
  A27-10114
–  Remove idler rollers -1- and -2- and unscrew bolt for toothed belt guard -arrow-.
  A13-10609
–  Unscrew bolts -6…1- and remove ancillaries bracket.
Installing
  WARNING
Specified torque: Ancillary bracket → Chapter.
Specified torque: Engine bracket → Chapter.
Install in reverse order. In the process, note the following:
t  Note any fitted sleeves in ancillary bracket and renew missing ones.
t  Renew all bolts to be tightened with torque angle.
t  Tack engine bracket bolt before tightening ancillary bracket securing bolt.

–  Tighten securing bolts in sequence -1…6-.
–  Install high-pressure pump, install toothed belt and adjust valve timing → Chapter.
–  Installing the generator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
–  Installing high-pressure pump → Chapter.
–  Remove air conditioner compressor from lock carrier, then position on ancillary bracket and tighten → Rep. gr.87.
–  Installing the generator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
–  Filling/bleeding high-pressure pump/fuel system → Chapter.
