Step 3 (There are metal particles in fuel delivery unit and fuel tank)
Step 3 (There are metal particles in fuel delivery unit and fuel tank)
–  Clean fuel delivery unit and fuel tank with diesel extractor -VAS 5226-.
–  Install fuel delivery unit → Chapter.
–  Fill fuel tank with 5 litres of diesel fuel.
–  Completely empty fuel tank again as described above.
–  Renew following high-pressure components:
t  High-pressure pump → Chapter.
t  High-pressure lines → Chapter.
t  High-pressure accumulator (rail) including fuel pressure regulating valve -N276- and fuel pressure sender -G247- → Chapter
t  Injectors → Chapter
t  Fuel return lines → Chapter
t  Fuel filter → Chapter
–  Fill up vehicle.
–  Bleeding fuel system → Chapter.
–  Perform road test.
