Removing and installing engine oil cooler
Removing and installing engine oil cooler
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6340-
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
  W00-10380
–  Open spring-type clip with hose clip pliers -VAS 6340- and pull coolant hose off.
–  Unscrew 4 securing bolts from oil cooler and remove oil cooler.
Installing
Renew gasket if it is damaged.
  N17-10210
–  Position oil cooler -2- on bracket and tighten securing bolts diagonally to 8 Nm + turn 90° further.
–  Push coolant hose -1- onto oil cooler port and secure it with spring-type clip.
–  Replenish coolant → Chapter.
