1 - Lambda probe -G39-, 50 Nm
q   Grease only the threads with „G 052 112 A3“; „G 052 112 A3“ must not get into the slots on the probe body.
q   Remove and install with Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
2 - 23 Nm
q   Renew.
q   Coat studs of turbocharger with high-temperature paste.
3 - Catalytic converter with exhaust pipe
q   With decoupling element.
q   Do not bend decoupling element more than 10° - otherwise it can be damaged.
q   Remove and install → Chapter
4 - Gasket
q   Renew.
5 - Mounting
6 - Clamp
q   Mounting position and specified torque → Chapter
q   Tighten bolted connections evenly.
7 - Mounting
8 - Gasket
q   Renew.
9 - Stage 1: 18 Nm, stage 2: 12 Nm, stage 3: 12 Nm
q   Renew.
  Caution
The securing nuts must be tightened in three stages and in the specified order → Chapter.
This ensures that the gasket seats correctly.
If this 3-stage tightening sequence is not adhered to, leaks will develop between the cylinder head and exhaust manifold.
q   Specified torque for stud in cylinder head: 18 Nm (oil before inserting).
10 - 20 Nm
11 - Bracket
12 - Turbocharger
q   With charge air controller -V465-
q   Remove and install → Chapter
  Note
Turbocharger can only be renewed complete with exhaust manifold and charge air controller -V465-.
13 - Heat shield
14 - 10 Nm
q   First tighten all securing bolts by hand when installing.
15 - Heat shield
16 - 10 Nm
q   First tighten all securing bolts by hand when installing.
17 - 10 Nm
q   First tighten all securing bolts by hand when installing.
18 - Lambda probe after catalytic converter -G130-
q   Specified torque: 50 Nm
q   Grease only the threads with „G 052 112 A3“; „G 052 112 A3“ must not get into the slots on the probe body.
q   If seal is leaking, nip open and renew.
19 - 10 Nm
q   First tighten all securing bolts by hand when installing.
20 - 25 Nm
