Emptying the gas line
Emptying the gas line
  WARNING
Autogas is heavier than air!
There must be no cavities in the ground (depressions, pits, channels, cellars or other hollow areas into which the gas can flow).
There must be no ignition sources present, e.g. exposed flame, sparks, electrostatic discharge or hot surfaces, that could cause the Autogas to ignite.
–  Connect vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051B- → Chapter.
   
–  Open clamp -1- and remove cap -2- from Autogas tank.

–  Start engine and wait until petrol or gas fuel selection switch -E395- can be switched to gas -arrow-.
Start the BiFuel software

–  Press F3 to connect.
The established connection is shown in field -arrow-.
–  Press F7.

–  Select menu item -1-„Pgas“ and start -2-.

–  Select -1- tab and start with -2-.

–  Undo nut -1- from gas tank valve -N495- and pull valve off -in direction of arrow-.
Gas tank valve -N495- must close audibly.
The reduction of pressure can take several minutes but can also be speeded up by several gas surges.

–  The gas line is almost pressureless when the pressure indicator -arrow- has fallen.
  WARNING
There is a danger of injury due to escaping gas.
The system is pressurised.
Wear suitable protection such as eye protection and protective gloves.
Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
–  Carefully detach gas line from vaporiser.
